A UNIQUE GROUP
PLATFORM
The University of Manitoba Undergraduate Leaders in Healthcare is a student group based at the University of Manitoba dedicated to uniting students from various disciplines who are interested in Canadian healthcare. Established in 2015, our group arose from a need to provide determined and altruistic students with opportunities to advance their knowledge and experience in the field of healthcare.
Our students come from various faculties and programs including but not limited to Health Sciences, Genetics, Social Work, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Psychology. We believe that this diversity allows us to understand and discuss healthcare from a number of different perspectives. One of our goals is to promote and encourage interdisciplinary communication among students.
LEARNING
CONNECTING LIKE-MINDED INDIVIDUALS
Our students are involved in organizing various team building activities, including orientation events, bi-weekly meetings, fun socials, charitable fundraisers, bake sales, and more!
BUILDING COMMUNITY
TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
On top of undergraduate studies, our students supplement their education by taking part in symposiums, conferences, seminars and other events throughout the year. As future leaders, we keep our members updated on current topics in healthcare so they will be ready to solve the problems of tomorrow.
